In early March, Self Vibe will officially launch. This moment has been a long time coming not just as a product launch, but as the result of years of shared ideas, late-night conversations, and hands-on work with real businesses.

Self Vibe was built by friends who met at the University of Ghana. Like many friendships on campus, ours started casually; attending numerous hackathons and conversations about technology, design, and the kinds of problems we noticed around us every day. Over time, those conversations became more serious. We weren’t just talking about ideas anymore; we were talking about building something meaningful.

While working with salons, spas, barbershops, and wellness professionals, we kept seeing the same patterns. Businesses were relying on WhatsApp messages, phone calls, notebooks, and scattered tools to manage bookings, clients, and daily operations. Existing software felt foreign, built for markets that don’t operate like ours, with assumptions that simply don’t hold locally.

So we decided to build what we wished existed.

Self Vibe is designed from the ground up for beauty and wellness businesses in Africa; tools that feel natural to use, support how businesses actually work, and help them grow without unnecessary complexity. Booking, client management, and business visibility should be simple, reliable, and built for the realities on the ground.

Building Self Vibe hasn’t been glamorous. It’s been long nights, constant iteration, tough feedback, and a lot of learning. But it’s also been deeply personal. We’re building for people we know, businesses we’ve worked with, and communities we’re part of.

As we prepare for our early March launch, we’re excited to finally open Self Vibe to more businesses and begin this next chapter. This is just the beginning, and we’re grateful to everyone who has supported us, tested early versions, shared feedback, and believed in what we’re building.
