Self Vibe Terms of Service - Full Version

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Self Vibe platform and services. By using Self Vibe, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Self Vibe Limited ("Self Vibe", "we", "us") is a South African company providing digital marketplace services for beauty and wellness professionals across Africa.

Partners

Independent beauty and wellness professionals, salons, spas, and clinics who offer services through our platform.

Self Vibe provides a digital marketplace platform that enables:

Our Partners offer a wide range of services across Africa, including:

  • Beauty Services: Makeup, facials, skincare treatments, eyebrow and lash services
  • Wellness Services: Massage therapy, spa treatments, aromatherapy, reflexology
  • Fitness Services: Personal training, yoga, pilates, group fitness classes
  • Medical Services: Dermatology, cosmetic procedures, health consultations
  • Nail Services: Manicures, pedicures, nail art, gel and acrylic applications

Using the Self Vibe Platform

To use Self Vibe effectively and safely:

  • Keep your login credentials secure and don't share your account

  • Respect Partners' time by arriving punctually for appointments
  • Follow Partners' specific policies and guidelines

Prohibited Activities: You may not use our platform for illegal activities, spam, harassment, or any behavior that violates these Terms or applicable laws.

Providing Accurate Information

Booking through Self Vibe is designed to be simple and secure:

  2. Select Services: Choose specific treatments, add-ons, and preferred time slots
  3. Review Details: Confirm service details, pricing, and Partner policies
  4. Provide Information: Enter required personal and health information
  5. Payment: Complete secure payment using your preferred method
  6. Confirmation: Receive booking confirmation via email and SMS

Your booking is confirmed once payment is processed and you receive a confirmation message. Partners may contact you directly to confirm details or provide additional instructions.

Vouchers Issued by Our Partners

Many Partners offer vouchers and gift certificates through Self Vibe:

  • Purchase: Buy vouchers for yourself or as gifts for others
  • Validity: Check expiration dates and usage terms before purchasing
  • Redemption: Use vouchers during the booking process or present at appointment
  • Restrictions: Some vouchers may have limitations on services, dates, or Partners
  • Refunds: Voucher refund policies are set by individual Partners

Vouchers are subject to Partner-specific terms and conditions. Self Vibe facilitates voucher sales but is not responsible for Partner voucher policies.

Promo Codes Issued by Our Partners

Partners and Self Vibe may offer promotional codes for discounts and special offers:

  • Application: Enter promo codes during checkout to receive discounts
  • Eligibility: Codes may be limited to new users, specific services, or time periods
  • Combination: Multiple promo codes typically cannot be combined unless specified
  • Expiration: All promo codes have expiration dates and usage limits

Paying for a Partner Service

Self Vibe supports multiple payment methods popular across African markets:

  • Bank Transfers: Direct bank transfers and EFT payments

  • Cash Payments: Some Partners may accept cash payments at the venue

Payment Security: All online payments are processed through secure, PCI-compliant systems. We do not store your complete payment information on our servers.

Appointment Changes and Cancellations

Flexibility is important, but Partners need adequate notice for changes:

Client-Initiated Changes

  • Free Cancellation: Most Partners allow free cancellation 24+ hours in advance
  • Late Cancellation: Cancellations within 24 hours may incur fees (typically 50% of service cost)
  • No-Show: Failure to attend may result in full charge and potential account restrictions
  • Rescheduling: Subject to Partner availability and may incur fees for late requests

Partner-Initiated Changes

  • Partners must provide reasonable notice for cancellations or rescheduling
  • Full refunds are provided for Partner-initiated cancellations
  • Alternative appointment times should be offered when possible
  • Emergency cancellations (illness, etc.) are handled case-by-case

Product Refunds and Cancellations

Refund policies vary by Partner and service type:

  • Service Refunds: Based on Partner policies and timing of cancellation
  • Product Refunds: Physical products may be refundable if unused and in original condition
  • Dissatisfaction: Issues with service quality should be reported within 24 hours
  • Processing Time: Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days
  • Dispute Resolution: Unresolved issues can be escalated to Self Vibe support

Important: Refunds are returned to the original payment method. International transfers may take longer and incur additional fees.

Restrictions on Access

To maintain a safe and professional environment, we may restrict access for:

  • Policy Violations: Repeated violations of these Terms or Partner policies
  • Fraudulent Activity: Suspicious payment activity or identity fraud
  • Inappropriate Behavior: Harassment, discrimination, or unprofessional conduct
  • No-Show Pattern: Excessive missed appointments without proper cancellation
  • Chargebacks: Excessive payment disputes or chargebacks

Partner Liability

  • Partners are fully responsible for their services, equipment, and premises

Client Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate health information and disclose relevant conditions
  • Follow Partner instructions and aftercare advice
  • Report any concerns or adverse reactions immediately
  • Understand that beauty and wellness treatments carry inherent risks

Indemnity

By using Self Vibe, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the platform or services obtained through it
  • Your violation of these Terms or applicable laws
  • Your interactions with Partners or other users
  • Any content you submit or transmit through our platform
  • Your breach of any third-party rights

This indemnification survives termination of your account and these Terms.

Ending These Terms of Service

These Terms remain in effect until terminated by either party:

Termination by You

  • Delete your account through account settings
  • Contact customer support to request account closure
  • Stop using the platform (though Terms remain applicable to past use)

Termination by Self Vibe

  • Immediate termination for serious violations or illegal activity
  • 30-day notice for general business reasons or platform changes
  • Temporary suspension pending investigation of reported issues

Effects of Termination

  • Loss of access to platform features and account data

These general provisions apply to all aspects of your relationship with Self Vibe.

Platform Fees

Self Vibe charges Partners commission fees for successful bookings. These fees are built into the service prices you see and pay. Additional fees may include:

  • Payment Processing: Small fees for certain payment methods (clearly disclosed)
  • Currency Conversion: Fees for international transactions when applicable
  • Premium Features: Optional paid features for enhanced booking experience

All fees are transparently displayed before payment confirmation. We do not charge hidden fees to clients.

Assignment

Self Vibe may assign these Terms and our rights and obligations to third parties in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent.

Notices

We will send important notices to the email address associated with your account. You are responsible for keeping your contact information current. Notices are considered delivered when sent to your last known email address.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms for specific services, constitute the entire agreement between you and Self Vibe. They supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

Enforcement & Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by South African law. Any disputes will be resolved in South African courts, though we encourage resolution through our customer support team first.

For users in other African countries, local consumer protection laws may also apply and take precedence where they provide greater protection.
