How to Delete Your Account
We're sorry to see you go. If you wish to delete your Self Vibe account, you have the following options:
Option 1: Delete from the App
- Open the Self Vibe app on your device
- Go to Profile (tap on your profile icon)
- Scroll down and tap Settings
- Tap Delete Account
- Follow the confirmation steps to permanently delete your account
Option 2: Contact Support
If you're unable to delete your account through the app, you can request deletion by contacting our support team:
- Email us at support@selfvibe.io
- Include the email address associated with your account
- Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
We will process your request within 30 days of receiving it.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
When you delete your Self Vibe account, the following will occur:
- Your profile information will be permanently deleted
- Your booking history will be removed
- Your reviews and ratings will be anonymized
- Your saved favorites and preferences will be deleted
- You will no longer receive any communications from Self Vibe
- Any active appointments may still be honored by the business
Data Retention
In accordance with African data protection laws (including POPIA, NDPR, and Kenya's Data Protection Act), some information may be retained for legal and regulatory compliance:
- Transaction records: Retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations
- Legal compliance data: Retained as required by applicable laws
This retained data will be anonymized where possible and securely stored. It will not be used for marketing purposes or shared with third parties except as required by law.
